COMMONWEALTH GAMES aspirant and MediaPA-promoted runner Camille Buscomb will head to crucial races in Perth and Adelaide in good form after shaving more than two seconds off her personal best time in the 1500m at the Porritt Classic in Hamilton last night.

In what was her first 1500m since April, the Cambridge-based Buscomb made light work of the competition, finishing the race in 4min 16.31sec as she easily defended the title she has held since 2012.

Buscomb will attempt to qualify for this year's Commonwealth Games when she heads to Australia, where she will race in next week’s Adelaide Classic and then the Perth Classic on February 22.

She will compete in the 5000m in Adelaide and the 1500m in Perth.

Camille Buscomb is sponsored by New Balance, Hamilton-based Argent Motor Lodge, hairdressers The Engine Room, Waikato Chiropractic, Lions Clubs and Health Performance Chiropractic.
