High-end men’s fashion accessory retailer ELVION will be showing its support for the Child Cancer Foundation at a charity art auction on 1 April 2016 in The Atrium, Wintec Hamilton City.
Co-founder and CEO of ELVION, Wian van Wyk, says the Child Cancer Foundation is a charity he feels strongly about and one of the first charities he chose to support after starting his business.
“We started supporting Child Cancer Foundation early on because of the amazing work they do supporting children with cancer and also helping families deal with it and supporting them to get through it together,” he says. “We are passionate about supporting CCF and donate our time and at least five percent of everything that we sell.”
ELVION also supported the Child Cancer Foundation’s annual appeal over the weekend of 18, 19 and 20 of March by boosting their donation to 10 percent for the three days of the appeal and personally volunteering to help raise money.
“The Annual Appeal is about raising funds and awareness for the Child Cancer Foundation,” says Mr Van Wyk. “We spent two days at New World Rototuna and raised funds there. It was really special as many people shared their stories of those close to them affected by cancer being supported by CCF.”
The art auction will see a number of artworks being auctioned during the two-hour event with artists creating works throughout the evening and ‘mystery envelope’ spot prizes.
All proceeds will be going to The Child Cancer Foundation which is currently supporting more than 145 Waikato families affected by child cancer.
“I look forward to meeting the wider support network and enjoying the art auction,” says Mr Van Wyk.
“It is a really special time when supporters come together and not only support CCF but enjoy their time together too.”
