Rising Romance Back In Work
By Phillip Quay
Outstanding Ruakaka-trained racemare Rising Romance has returned to work.
Co-trainer Donna Logan said today that the AJC Oaks winning mare is looking "a million dollars" in her new preparation.
"She is going to be aimed at the Sydney autumn carnival," Logan told Race Cafe.
"However, which races she lines up in is yet to be finally determined," Logan said.
"We were very happy with the way she performed at the Melbourne spring carnival and she had a good break after that," she said. "It is exciting to see her back in work."
Rising Romance, a daughter of Linwood Park Stud sire Ekraar, did New Zealand proud when finishing a game second in the Gr. 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) in October.
She also finished second in the Craven Plate in Sydney during the spring.
